FSK Instrumental Music Ensembles

The FSK Marching Band is our extracurricular competitive marching band program. They perform at football games, local parades, and compete in various competitions in the area. This group is open to any student and no prior experience is necessary. The marching band has had some recent success including 2018 & 2019 TOB Region V 2A champions, 2021 & 2023 MMBA 1A State Champions, and 2022 MMBA 1A second place. Percussion and Color Guard have also consistently placed in the top three of MMBA Group 1A bands from 2021-2024.

Wind Ensemble is the honors wind and percussion band at FSK. Students get into the group through audition or successful participation in Concert Band. This group performs at the winter and spring concert and also at the county adjudication festival each year often scoring well.

Jazz band is an honors level group that performs music spanning many genres such as jazz, funk, rock, latin and others. They perform at the winter and spring concerts as well as various school and community events.

Orchestra is our strings group at FSK. These students perform at the winter and spring concert as well as performing at the county adjudication festival and have performed well there in recent years including quite a few overall superior ratings.

Concert band is our entry level wind and percussion group at FSK and is open to any student who wants to join band. They perform at the winter and spring concerts.
